In grades 9 and 10, ISA Liwan integrates the IGCSE programme within the framework of the IB curriculum. IGCSE is considered to be the most suitable bridge course for Chinese students, which can be adapted to a variety of international courses, such as IBDP and A Level. On the other hand, IB emphasizes holistic education and pays attention to the improvement of students' comprehensive ability. The integration of IGCSE and IB can enable students to better prepare for grades 11-12 in terms of subject foundation and learning skills.
In ISA Liwan Grade 9-10, the golden combination of six subject groups + Physical Education and Health + Core courses + Admission Guidance courses + CCA courses, students have the opportunity to learn at least two languages, and at least one liberal arts subject, at least one science subject, one math subject and one art subject. The IBDP is a globally recognised leading programme in international education. It aims to cultivate global-minded lifelong learners with wide range of knowledge and is committed to promoting all-round development talents in intellectual, social, emotional and physical aspects. Students are required to study six subject courses and three core courses. The curriculum setting is comprehensive and balanced, taking into consideration both liberal arts and sciences, while showing respect for differences. The IBDP diploma is highly sought after by top universities around the world.
